On 28 and 29 January, more than 95 representatives from road authorities, service providers, National Access Points (NAPs), and network organisations from across Europe gathered in Utrecht for the first live TISGRADE project meeting. The two-day event marked an important milestone in building the collaboration needed to improve traffic information services across Europe.

The first day focused on work package exchanges, followed by the first Project Board and Strategic Board, a visit to the Dutch Traffic Management Centre, a city walk, and an informal dinner to strengthen the network between partners. The second day centred on the first Public-Private Tactical Group, where task leads and partners (also non-TISGRADE members) discussed the key elements for the upcoming Pre-Deployment Validations. Topics included digital Traffic Circulation Plans and Temporary Traffic Management Measures, and the validation of the quality of static and dynamic traffic data. Representatives from C-ROADS, NAPCORE, and VERKKO also joined the discussion, underlining the broad European support for harmonised standards and definitions.
A key outcome of the meeting was the shared ambition to develop reliable, transparent, and scalable mobility data services, supported by strong public-private cooperation, robust validation methodologies, and trusted feedback loops on data quality. The Pre-Deployment Validation locations across Europe will be prepared in close collaboration shortly, while work also continues on best practices for data collection, NAP upgrades, communication tools, and the public-private feedback loop on data quality feedback. Also, the task on Road Authority engagement will start. Together, TISGRADE is building a future in which digital traffic information is reliable, up to date, and scalable across Europe.
